Experienced Cabinet Maker
Thomas Jones Cabinet Makers is a small and growing company based in the Oxfordshire countryside near Wallingford. We create high quality unique bespoke fitted and free-standing furniture working with a variety of materials timber, birch ply & MDF.
We are looking for someone who is passionate, detail orientated and enjoys a fast paced environment. As a young and small business it is paramount that you are a flexible team player who has the ability to problem solve.
The ideal candidate:
-
Experience in making high end fitted cabinetry.

Confident in taking ownership of projects from start to finish.

Experience in dealing with all aspects of the furniture making process from machine work, finishing and assembling to a high standard.

The ability to understand and read technical drawings.
-
Experience using a panel saw, edge bander, lamello zeta, festool domino and other general tools.
Desirables:
-
CNC operative experience
-
On-site fitting experience
-
Painting, Spraying and finishing experience
What We Offer:
Working hours 8am - 5pm > Monday to Friday (Overtime available)
Position Based: Workshop - Brightwell-cum-Sotwell - some travel will be required

Apprentice / Graduate
Cabinet Maker
We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated candidate to become part of our growing team. You will need to have a high interest in woodworking be a team player with a willingness to listen and learn, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
Ideal but not essential:

A degree in furniture making or a qualification in Carpentry / Joinery

Experience using heavy machinery

Ability to read technical drawings
-
Industry work experience
Position Based: Workshop - Brightwell-cum-Sotwell - some travel will be required depending on project.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
Full training in making, finishing product & fitting will be supplied
28days Holiday
